Well because of the camera settings challenges I was able to figure out a setting to use in the very dimly lit concert hall. Flash of course was forbidden and I wanted to freeze action as well. I was pleased with how this turned out.
Very impressed. You rose to the challenge! Great focus and love how you caught them in the air (apart from the girl on the right - she won't be so happy) and cool reflections too!
Wonderful capture. I know how difficult it is to capture anything in that dim light and you seem to have perfected it! Everything about this picture is amazing!
Oh yay, you did get some shots. This is great and well done you for figuring out the settings. I took some a couple of weeks ago at a dance recital and due to my entry level camera I didn't have much room to move with the settings. It can be a big challenge.
Beautiful shot Kathy. Colors, composition and ofcourse the frozen action. This is another example of a shot you couldn't have made with your former compact camera. Thes high ISO's are just available for recent years. Every two years there is another jump in high-ISO quality. Enjoy!
@vaugdds I don't know if you are following the camera settings challenge but this is now the new challenge, setting your camera when the lighting is low. I am excited about these challenges since I am learning so much.
wow, such a clear photo with great tones & detail in low-light. I really admire the way you've taken the bull by the horns with this new camera & harnessed all that it can allow you to do.
