traces of fall

Where did all those pretty colors go? Traces are left but it's quickly going from red, orange, yellows and greens to different shades of brown, burgandy, and gold. Soon it will be white - not looking forward to that.
Nice one, and that's about all that's left anymore.

Leaves are really falling fast now aren't they... I'm going away for a couple of days at the end of the week and was hoping for some autumnal shots, but I think the trees will all be bare!

I like the light and shadows a well as the POV!

I just love leaves on the ground...this is beautiful. I also love snow, it's pretty, so I look forward to some winter shots too. Then stay inside and keep warm.

Great colours. Don't know if you have Guy Fawkes night where you live but if you do then I challenge you to take photos of fireworks (even if only a sparkler).

@la_photographic Hi Laura - no Guy Fawkes night (never heard of that) there will be no fireworks here. I will look and see if I have a sparkler somewhere, if I do I will photo it, if not I will need a new challenge. Perhaps you could give me another challenge and I will only do that one if I can't find any sparklers. Sounds like it would be a fun one, I'm just not sure if it is possible.

It is a British celebration - although here in Northern Ireland we don't have it. I thought (when it was in the November Word List) that it must be celebrated elsewhere too. Maybe you could do light trails.

@la_photographic Sounds like a fun challenge! I will either do sparklers if I have them or light trails. Have a great week!
I'm in the USA, our fireworks is on July 4th.

@myhrhelper Pity you had not taken any then and could add 1 or 2 fireworks photos onto another photo. That is what I did for today for the November Word List - there were fireworks last week for Halloween. Enjoy. I am going to go to either an old looking building or else an older building and age the photo.

hey Kathy... I was asked to host the next camera settings challenge and the winner wants to learn about bracketing... I know you'd mentioned something about wanting to learn that too way back when... I can host a challenge on bracketing, but the problem with that is it does require post processing to layer the images. Is that okay or do I need to come up with something different for the challenge (or let her know to come up with a plan B)?

@jsw0109 Camera settings challenges that include processing with learning a setting is ok. I think it would be fun to learn - that is one setting on my camera I don't know much about so that would be great. Perhaps you could suggest some software that can be used to do the processing. I don't have Photoshop. I use picMoneky & Ipiccy.
If this is a topic you are comfortable teaching I say go for it. If this isn't something you are comfortable let her know you have something else in mind.

I am very happy to hear that you have been asked Jeff! You have a lot of knowledge to teach and are a fantastic photographer!! So glad you agreed!! Woo Hoo

@myhrhelper well, as well received as the one I did last time was, I figured there's something I can put out there that people will enjoy
