this is quite dramatic... more so, i think, because of the dabs of fire here and there... looks like you figured out the appropriate camera settings... did you have to experiment a bit? or did you go in knowing what you needed to do?
@northy The answers from the question I asked was very helpful. This house is on my daughters street and she told me when they would burn the house. All the practice fires up to this point was at night. So when I got the call that the house is on fire now - I got there as soon as I could but most of the house was already burned - I was so disappointed. Because of that the flames were not that big or intense so it was easier to catch the flames that were there. I liked the bracketing idea, I thought that was helpful. I liked the idea of shooting some shots in auto and then adjusting from there. I started playing with a lot of settings, high key, low key, etc.
