GET PUSHED CHALLENGE - Balanced Composition
Here is the challenge from Nancy @nkawoods Nice composition and tone, Kathy. I accept your triangle composition challenge; thanks for all the links. I am going to give you a composition challenge as well, one that displays balance. Here is a link that describes the concept. http://digital-photography-school.com/balance-in-photography
I think I achieved a balanced composition - let me know what you think.
Hi again, Kathy. Do you have an ND filter? If so, my challenge for you would be daytime long exposure. If you don't, your challenge is still long exposure. Does that work for you?
@riverlandphotos I don't have a ND filter - would love one. I will work on some long exposure filters for the challenge. Thank you very much and I'm still thinking about your challenge.
Initially I would say not balanced but as I study it I see three areas of "weight" that are quite balanced. the sky, the mountain and the foreground all seem to have the same amount of space.in the photo.
@grammyn I'm still not 100% clear on what makes a balanced composition. I looked at it the same way as equal balance in space & color. I also thought the white clouds were balanced by the white in the ground,.I know the jury is still out on this one.
Kathy, nice balance as I understand it, both the sky and the foreground are interesting although it is clearly the figure in the center of the photo your eye is drawn to. I like the tones of the picture as well, the greens and the blues work well together.
