@merrelyn Thanks. Yes they are very timid and fast. I read somewhere that you can use your car basically like a hide, won't freak out the birds as much compared to if you walk up on them. Luckliy the track was narrow and the water was close and it worked a treat. Mums little Nissian Micra has done more off-road and had more adventures in the last six weeks than it's had it's entire life ha ha.
