I don’t think you’re ever A hundred percent in the room
It's so hard to take photos here because it keeps snowing and it's bright and foggy so yeah, really not very successful. Went to do the shopping again today, the supermarket is horrible because I'm cookin for 13 people so have to buy loads of heavy stuff and the aisles are stupidly narrow and the checkouts are so small that I always end in a kerfuffle.
Anyway. I went swimming this afternoon. It is the first time that I have been swimming in years. I have always been way too self conscious. But it was a small pool and there was only a little girl in it so I went in. I ended up swimming for an hour until some other people turned up and I got out. I had forgotton how amazing swimming is!!!!! I used to be quite a good swimmer but I'm shocking now xD I was getting much better though by the end of the hour. It was just awesome, gliding through the water and doing the right actions that make you go and the water going over you and just tuning out for a while. :]
I'm really tired. I don't sleep well when I am not in my own bedroom for a number of reasons. I also don't sleep well when I am sharing a bedroom. I am currently sharing a bedroom that isn't mine so that's not working out so well :p
Where in yorkshire do you live? i live in Sheffield and the only recent snow we'v had was yesterday morning for an hour that didn't settle - great pic btw makes it seem mysterious like a shot out of a film :)
Wow, that's a LOT of snow. I'm glad you enjoyed your swim, and I'm sorry that you don't feel comfortable doing something that you truly love. Being self conscious affects all of us, but we have to remember that in the end, our own opinions are the only ones that matter. Do what you love, and the confidence will follow. Of course it also helps being on vacation! ;)
Wow, that looks like a white out! Should make for good skiing conditions. I'm glad you enjoyed your time swimming! Hope you get some sleep. I don't sleep well when I'm not in my own room either.
I like this white out shot and the ski lifts. Cooking for 13 seems like a lot since I don't cook. I'm impressed! Hope you get some sleep. Sounds like your are in a great area of France.
Now that you've remembered how much you like swimming I hope you can get over your self consciousness and keep going.
