Re: AP is advanced placement. Which means it is a university level course. A grade is given at the end of the year, but only if the student passes the AP test are they given college credit. The scores are from 1-5...1-2 are not passing, 3-5 are. Corey has passed 4/5 of the AP tests that he has taken, so he now has four college courses out of the way. Hope that makes it a little clearer.
