Memories

I went to another market today - as a spectator this time. I visited a friend who was selling her ceramics and came across a stall selling these...a childhood memory. Everyone had at least one of these coat hangers hiding in their wardrobe in the 60s..

I have heaps! My mum made them all the time, especially the last few years before she died. They are great for not having pointy parts on your hanging clothes.

I have heaps too, I get my mother in law to hunt them out at fetes for me.

Oh yes, I remember those well. I still have some with knitted or crochet covers. The new plastic ones are practical but the old wooden ones with covers have a lot more personality
