Halloween

Terrible photo, but they were impatient for the treats and I didn’t want to risk a trick 😜😱

We had a group of 3 knock on our door, but that was it. I believe that one of our local schools had Halloween events on this evening. IMHO it's a much better idea than having kids knocking on strangers doors. Needless to say I'm not a fan of Halloween :)

@merrelyn I just had this group - my neighbours and their friends - and one girl who didn’t even bother to dress up 😂 I ended up eating way too much candy!!

Every year there seems to be more and more of them, we don’t have many kids is our neighbourhood so we do escape it mostly. Though the kids next door dragged my daughter out and she still managed to come back with a bag full of lollies!

@jodies @jclaireyp we had less this year...a couple of years ago we had quite a lot come round. Glad I’m not a parent having to deal with the sugar high!!

haha. We didn't have any calling on us - but then there are not all that many children here. Mostly retired folk in our little village

@narayani Yes I admit to finding it a little odd having mostly retired folk around. I chat up any little kids I see playing down by the river when I'm walking my dogs. The dogs love to see children too. I do agree with you that it is great to have a mix of ages.
