Hazy Day Over Yarm by natsnell

Hazy Day Over Yarm

Looking over the Tees valley across Yarm Viaduct.

Yarm Viaduct was built between 1849 and 1851, has 43 arches and is 2280 feet long.

I was hampered by the haze and only had time to scout around the North end. I think the additional feature of the train made this my most interesting photo of the day.
Great. Feeling as if I was moving together with the train

I had one with a train going over the ribblehead Viaduct! It looked like the same train as well.
I think you should use this pic in the Bridge off as everyone on here has seen the Infinity Bridge one now! lol!

Like the perspective and the atmosphere. Yarm makes me think of a Teesside Fettlers' song! (Travelling the Tees)

@cazink @santa_u Thanks. Its and empty freight train. I was just setting up my tripod and camera when it appeared. If I was quicker I could have had a shot with twice as many trucks.

@mrgtrueman Yeah... I'm not sure, I think I might stick with the Infinity Bridge.
I went to see if I could take a photo of Leven Bridge at lunch time but there is no access to the fields either side. So I want on to Yarm into the houses at the South end of the viaduct.
