House Leek

This plant was going to be left in a pot in the back yard of my mother's house several years ago when she moved out. It then sat in the pot in my garden for a few years not really doing anything. It was placed in a border a couple of years ago when it started looking a bit sad. After the dry spell then lots of rain recently it has sprung into life.

Looking forward to seeing these buds turn into flowers. I hope to post a follow up shot soon.

As far as I can identify it, it's a Sempervivum a type of succulent. I may or may not be able to identify the species once it flowers.
I love the colour of these. such a deep beautiful red. Lovely shot.
