Fizzy Fruit by natsnell

Fizzy Fruit

I've seen this done a few times before and it's cool, so I had a go.

I liked my very first shot the best because of the composition. However the focus leaves a little to be desired.
I think this is great and I like the softness of the focus, have to have a go at this. The composition and placement of the fruit is really good.

Cool! V. nice composition. I can't find anywhere that tells me how this is done, could you give me a brief outline please, Fiz?

Nat
@dulciknit There is a discussion about it in the tips-n-tricks section:

Basically I put some fruit in some lemonade. Did the camera bit then did some creative rotating, cropping and levelling.

There was also a light tent (to help with getting a white background and ambient light) and one of Fiz's square vases involved.

Oh, and Wine Gums don't float!

@natsnell Thank you for taking the time to explain it, Nat, much appreciated.

It's a fun photo, but you're right about the focus.

Looks really good for a first attempt. I'd like to try it myself, but only have tall thin glasses. I think you're right about the focussing, but that's something that can be worked on. :-)

The front black one looks like it has eyes and a nmouth, so it gives the impression of being part of a snake. Very effective.
