Ixora coccinea, locally known as santan but known internationally as Morning Glory. This bushy plant commonly used as hedges is so widespread that we often take its beauty for granted. This is a tribute to the old days, when as little boys and girls we would pull the middle 'stick' down and sip the sweet nectar from the tiny flowers. :)
