Older Than Your Firstborn

...if your eldest child is eight years old.

This is a nine-year old Charriol Cable Wire bracelet, whose evident age is revealed by various nicks and dents here and there. Like most things in life, this piece of intertwined steel accessory gains more character as it incurs damage and scrapes.

Mistakes, as I say, comprise the dark colors of a palette; we do not want to use them in painting a bright picture, but are necessary to highlight some specific areas of the canvas that is life.
Like the texture and lighting in this. Love the quote - as a painter I can totally relate to the practical and metaphorical meaning :)
