Poussin-ish

I took this picture because this scene reminded me of a Nicolas Poussin painting...I thought it was very Les Bergers d'Arcadie.

Though when I looked at the painting again, aside from the semi-pastoral feel of this picture, nothing else seems to connect. Perhaps it's the vault of this column that reminded me of the tomb in that painting.

This was taken on a decrepit, previously grander tourist spot in the Philippines.

I agree--it's rather Poussin-ish, although none of his works looked like that, exactly. Haha! It's the "feel" that counts.

I'm in love with this... so lush and ancient and the decay is beautiful!
