This is the Taal Lake, one of the more photographed lakes in the island of Luzon, because it is the home soup of the tiny Taal Volcano (not pictured).
The lake comes second fiddle to the Taal Volcano when it comes to recognition, but this shouldn't be so. The lake has its own beauty, its own charms, its own folklore and riddles.
Unfortunately, this photo does not show much of its much neglected virtues as it was very foggy that day, but even if this photo isn't much, I hope the picture shows even just a little bit of the mystique and delight that this lake rightfully deserves.
