Fallen

Autumn coming....though today it feels very autumnal with the rain....thought was only us Brits who complained about the rain but lots of Australian friends on here seem to so too! Thanks for best wishes for littlest, he's slowly on the mend.
Sam
Oh we aren't complaining, we are just sharing our weather news!!!
August 28th, 2014
No, you were complaining.
August 28th, 2014
love this photo and contrasting colours. I have done a little bit of travelling and I can say without hestitation that the number one topic anywhere in the world is the weather lol
August 28th, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower that comment aimed at me or Mrs Sam?
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@newbank @graemestevens I'm betting it is BOTH!
August 28th, 2014
@newbank @gigiflower Definitely the Australian... ;)
August 28th, 2014
Sam
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower TWAT (not you @newbank, you're lovely)
August 28th, 2014
@graemestevens your a soft centered sweetie. One of those that appears hard on the outside but is all sweet and soft in the middle.
August 28th, 2014
@graemestevens remember them? Can't remember name but they were pastel coloured....soft fruits I think, like the mints.
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens TWAT BOLLOCKS!
August 28th, 2014
@newbank I do remember them :) I can't remember what they were called but I do remember them....over here we used to buy them in little "buckets" about the size of a take away coffee cup.
@gigiflower That's GOD TWAT BOLLOCKS to you ;))
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens MR GOD TWAT BOLLOCKS!!!! Don't forget the Mr please ;)
August 28th, 2014
Love the strong contrast between the free and stones. Would love to be complaining about rain - we seriously need it!
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower Good point - I had forgotten that completely. I think I'm going to need a bigger business card to fit all of this on.
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens And it's in BOLD text too!
August 28th, 2014
Ah this photo takes me back to when I was in the gutter (not literally). I posted an image on 17th April this year, which involved tarmacadam. As with this photograph, its amazing all the colours, especially the blues that are in the tarmac
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower No point mucking around - if I'm going to put that on a business card it may as well be in bold.
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens And CAPITALS!
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower Would you mind not yelling at me? Every time you do that I have to hold back a terrified sob.
August 28th, 2014
Such beauty found in the simpliest things, beautiful and well seen
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens Don't cry. PLEASE
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower @graemestevens children children.....do I need to separate you and send you to your bedrooms?
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@newbank @graemestevens MR GOD TWAT BOLLOCKS has already gone to bed because he is a cry BABY!
August 28th, 2014
Wonderful textures in this. We're allowed to complain about the weather in the UK. It's a national past time.
August 28th, 2014
Great capture, seems to have come early this year.
August 28th, 2014
love the nature and the harshness
August 28th, 2014
Ah, love the way that green pops
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower sorry I have to ask....what on earth are you doing reading in Australia the Daily Mail website?? Sorry to offend any Daily Mail readers.... Yep saw that last night.
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@newbank HAHAH the Daily Mail website is SOOOO popular here!!! It now has an Australian version too :)
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower I fear it may give you an unbalanced view of us Brits..... I cant believe that the daily mail is sooooo popular. Oh my.
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@I already have an unbalanced views - my parents were from the UK!
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower Just read an article from an aussie gp myth busting kids sleeping patterns as babies....my two year is going to be dysfunctional as an adult as I have put him to bed in an artificially darkened room and kept the house quiet by feeding my 365 addiction. Must put him to bed in a room with bright lights, music blaring and dance around him like a loony.... right off to make a sandwich and read some more loony stories. We are still friends despite my less than positive reaction to the daily mail online????
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@newbank Oh yes of course!!! I feel like a sandwich too.........not sure why I'm hungry when it is time to go to bed! Shall I put on bright lights, loud music and get my husband to dance around me like a loony?
August 28th, 2014
@graemestevens
@gigiflower
Will you two be quiet? I'm trying to take a nap!
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@yrhenwr @graemestevens I'm guessing MR GOD TWAT BOLLOCKS went to bed hours ago.....and you are lucky because it's my turn to do the same! Goodnight :)
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower But I'm trautamised. I have been looking online and it appears Brooklyn Beckham is like 15!!!!!! But last time I read any celeb gossip he was just being born.....No wait last time was when Victoria was posh spice and I watched her on stage....I am OLD OLD OLD OLD OLF OLD OLD HELPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 28th, 2014
@yrhenwr Clearly not read the article on line then. Or you were brought up wrong. Quiet bad....Noise good.... Hmm....yes well. In the this house we have quiet and sleep. Go nap one and all.
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@newbank I saw that Brooklyn has a girlfriend! I learnt that tonight from Daily Mail. See, I learn so much from that website!!! HAHAHAHAH oh and BTW, I LOVE the Spice Girls. Sporty was my favourite :)
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower I'm going to have the songs in my head all afternoon now. Yep we read the same article. Perhaps I need a new addiction as well as 365 to feed you information. But lets not tell Mr S then we'll seem all knowledgable and interesting....
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower Shocked that stored in the depths of my brain is streams and streams of spice girls lyrics....couldn't tell you half of what I was supposed to learn at school then but from nowhere I have lyrics and possible dance moves.....
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower I once danced to spice girls in the middle of a large roundabout what 8 girlfriends aged 14....right im off to youtube spice girls now....
August 28th, 2014
Sam
@newbank Oh dear. Now you are admitting stuff that should stay a dark secret.............however I also spent many a night dancing in night clubs to the sounds of a Spice Girl mix. GIRL power!
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower I have THE BIGGEST smile on my face listening to them now....no longer feel old. Feel 14 again. Thank you. You are permitted to sleep and I take back what I said about the Daily Mail.
August 28th, 2014
I love that vibrant green
August 28th, 2014
Like the one stone in the leaf, nice composition overall.
August 28th, 2014
Simple and effective! Good your littlest is recovering.
August 28th, 2014
Lovely capture
August 28th, 2014
Cleverly composed -- a leaf falling but not yet turning. Sign of autumn too soon, perhaps? Thank your 5-year-old for me -- so glad he liked my meeting buildings!!
August 28th, 2014
@gigiflower @newbank I wasn't in bed...I was lying on the couch half asleep watching Kim decorating a rather obscenely large cake. As for unbalanced views...my mother is Scottish and my father is Irish, so that should explain everything that hadn't been explained to date!
August 28th, 2014
@graemestevens It does. Surprisingly it does. You mean you've not been to bed? Surely it has been beddy byes time for you.
August 28th, 2014
@newbank been to bed and got up again to walk the dogs...not much sleep but I'll live. Wine time tonight - a gathering for a shared birthday...you should come over!
August 28th, 2014
great shot.. cool textures
(it's raining here!)
August 28th, 2014
@graemestevens you're on to Friday aren't you? Still Thursday evening here but yes I'll look into popping over....
August 28th, 2014
@newbank your birthday or Kims or a stranger's...happy birthday if it belongs to one of you two and the stranger too....
August 28th, 2014
Love shots like this which see the beautiful in the mundane. Captures that end-of-summer melancholy. So glad Littlest is getting better.
August 28th, 2014
@newbank it's me and the stranger. And she very strange. Also, thanks awfully, but mines not today - next week for me but the stranger is going away so we decided to have the shin dig tonight.
August 28th, 2014
@graemestevens early happy birthday then...enjoy
August 28th, 2014
@newbank thanks very much in an early type fashion :)
August 28th, 2014
Really great pic
August 29th, 2014
this works really well - is this the shot you tried in b&w?
August 29th, 2014
OMG, this thread cracks me up, even if I am geriatric these days. Aussies and Kiwis all talk, grizzle, gripe, whinge etc about the weather, maybe due to our British heritage??
August 29th, 2014
@golftragic I don't hold much responsibility for what is on this thread......
August 29th, 2014
@newbank Definitely not Ruth, but it's still funny. And I forgot to say I like your shot very much, you've captured the feel of early autumn very well.
August 29th, 2014
@golftragic no worries, this thread quickly lost any relevance to the photo!! Have to say I'm spending more time randomly chatting than serious photography discussion!
August 29th, 2014
@newbank Personally, I think that's perfectly valid and OK too.
August 29th, 2014
Excellent color and composition.
August 29th, 2014
Nice and simple.
August 29th, 2014
oooh, love the textures here. Yeah for one of my fav seasons. That and spring. I love all things pumpkin...I had a pumpkin latte today:).
August 29th, 2014
Great textures
