Slightly straighter door... by newbank

Slightly straighter door...

....With some advice it is now straightened. I very happy and excited to have learnt something new tonight. Can go to bed happy.
@wearing0 many many many thanks. Quick play and I think this improved it.

What a difference it makes - well done, but I too like the red door. :-)

Nice fix..well done.

@happypat @callymazoo Will try again tomorrow starting a fresh and see what can do with the red. It was the red that attracted me to it....thanks for your comments.

great lines. love the graphic feel to this

Another excellent shot - you must stop this immediately if not sooner! Realy like this quite a lot.

Mmmm! Looks nice in B&W and straightened.

Don't know the story but it is a great geometric composition!

I agree -- this is a case where distortion is not useful, just distracting, so I do like this version quite a bit. It brings out all the stripes, in fact. But, that door and window in color are wonderful so I look forward to tomorrow's! We were going to post 2 photos of 'the whole' but really, I think just focusing on architecture -- whether elements or buildings in context -- is such fun that you should grab the opportunities as they arise!

Looks great and I prefer the B&W, love all the lines :)

It all looks fine to me so I assume you have discovered how to correct the distortion. Realy like the lines in this - a great B&W image. I am still looking for my No2 building for this week. I wish I could find something exciting!!

cool b&w but I miss the red
September 15th, 2014
Just spotted this one after I said how to correct it. I prefer the other version with the red and blue in the shot though.

Neat composition.

Great lines and composiition.

Looks really good now in the distortion, lack thereof, department. But I prefer the coloured version.

I'm not always a fan of straightening everything (like horizons), but in this case I do like this one better. Would like to see this one in color, though, I really liked the colors on the other one. In any case, I like the photo in general!

Fabulous!

love the lines, great composition.
September 16th, 2014
Great B&W shot it helps to emphasise the lines.
September 16th, 2014
Having looked at both your images, I'm impressed at how much better this looks with the image distortion fixed. I also learnt something new. Nice lines, I am going to prefer the colour version only for that red door!
September 16th, 2014
Good capture and yes everything looks straight and neat.
September 16th, 2014
Yup, think it looks better straightened. Works well in B&W, too.
September 16th, 2014
Nice comp and lines in this. Hope you dream about nice straight doors all night! :)

Wonderful Ruth. I just went back and looked through your comments on the skewed one so I've learned something too.
