1. Is it ever possible to rescue a totally over exposed shot?
2. Look at the adults in this image. There are probably things going on in their heads that make them want to feel like lying on the floor kicking and screaming but they don't. Again this morning I ponder the fact that its a good thing human emotional & social development develops beyond that of 2 year olds. Imagine a world ran by 2 year olds?
3. When did my 5 year old get so mature and grown up.
This is great. I think if you shot in RAW and it isn't totally blown you can bring it back some what but there will be blown out areas. Now I believe that is what you have done here very effectively with the sky blown out and no detail. It draws attention to what is left. I think this is one of your best street photos.
Having some problems with the littlest by any chance? There is always hope and cannot imagine a world run by 2 year olds.... but then, aren't most politicians of the same mental age?
I cannot comment on the overexposure thing but I so like the pov in this.
1. Yes in most cases, yes 2. Someimes I feel like my workplace is run by 2 year olds, I think there are few 2 year olds in management level 3. Time indeed, where it goes 4. Always.
Like the processing on this one, the colors are bright and vivid and that white sky works well too
I can see now looking back I have ruined some really good pictures by over exposing them.......sometimes it does work & because this is a people shot & there is good definition between figures, statio & train. You can present a photo however you want Jane....look at some really well faved shots on PP. There are no rules surely!
Lovely capture and I have thoughts like that every day, the difference is that being a pensioner you can say ****** it and do what you like, which is what I do. Nice capture, I wonder what the train driver is thinking with you with a camera in your hand?
Love your composition on this, the overexposure makes it look almost high key. Your observation #2 made me chuckle, I think we all have 2 year old melt downs still, it is just that we don't show them to the world around us.
I love thought number 2! I think this works great overexposed. The people look great, and the sky works. I find it hard to recover most over exposed shots especially landscape images. Thought number 3 makes me want to cry as I have been weepy since my last child moved away 4 months ago. They grow up so fast!
if this was the totally overexposed shot, you did a great job of rescuing it, and the result is a fav for me. I think the mayor we had in Toronto until recently gave us a taste of what life might be like with someone on a two-year-old level in "control", except that two-year-olds don't generally do drugs and consort with drug dealers.
I cannot comment on the overexposure thing but I so like the pov in this.

2. I totally agree, I think the US congress is run by 2 year olds.
3. Ask your 5yo
4. Yes there is.
5. :-)
