Playing with a snowdrop and picmonkey. I see there is a discussion thread debating how much time is spent post processing. This has taken 15 minutes. It's nothing special. It'll win no awards. It was done with picmonkey. But in those 15 minutes I enjoyed myself, I relaxed, it was therapeutic so none of the above matters. For me so much of this "hobby" ( read passion) is about the process not just the end result. Anyway just my musings.....
@gigiflower yep. No idea he was there till started to process them. Looking at the shots outside I can now see him crawling up! Photobombed by an ant....
Beautiful shot, love the simplicity of it and always a bonus when you get a bug in the shot too which you didn't know about initially. I love playing with processing too sometimes and I agree very therapeutic.
I believe it is up to you, spend hours, minutes or not at all. It is what you like. Some people believe only in SOOC. I like to process and the amount of time depends on what I need to get the photo to where I want. There is no right answer only personal preference. Like do you shot every day or can you use fillers, do you try to be creative or do you post a diary or your life, do you post a variety of things or do you post predominantly one subject. All I see as up to you.
Like the photo. As I look at and store all the photos on my husbands iPad I cannot usepicmomkey which is just as well as I sprnt a lot of time looking reading and commenting already.
That 15 minutes you soent on this photo would enhance your relaxation & your day no end! I always say if anyone thinks I soend a lot of time on photography I could be doing worse! I used to say I could be shopping but have given up saying that as its not exactly a cheap hobby!
A surprise there too..a bug! Beautifully done Ruth!
@newbank I don't do photoshop, though....too difficult for my brain! I use fotor, which is user friendly and changes with the click of one button :) Most photos of mine just need a tweak or two, thanks to my great camera! Thanks for those kind words :) x
A lovely little harbinger of Spring. I just lose all track of time when processing - it is so relaxing and so much fun - most of the time. I have had to have a timer near my computer to remind me to get up and walk around - or whatever :)
