5m Dwarf

This Middle-Earth Dwarf greets international travellers arriving at Auckland Airport. He was made by Weta Workshops.

We were at the airport today to collect our friends who have arrived from the UK, via Sydney, for a two-week stay. So excited to see them in "real life" rather than through an electronic device. Such a shame that it's poured with rain all day and they weren't greeted by the glorious sunshine I'd promised them :-(

Unfortunately the weather has become a bit grey and dreary since my friends arrived so NZ's not looking it's best so far - they've brought the British weather with them I think. However, it's forecast to improve a bit tomorrow :-)
