We went on a day trip to Blue Springs, Putaruru, today. The water is amazingly clear and the river is set in lovely countryside. It looks like there's algae in the river but it's actually weed that can be seen because the water is clear.
Today is my 365th day doing 365 and I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the year. Your comments, favs and advice have given me so much encouragement and without you all helping me I probably wouldn't have kept going, especially through the winter and when I've been busy with work and life and it's more difficult to take photos. I'd also like to thank @alinz who has been my photography buddy over the last year - it's been fun having someone to do the project with and bounce ideas off. And finally thanks to @alisonp who suggested I have a go at the 365 project in the first place.
Sorry I haven't had a chance to do much commenting but we've been busy taking our visitors around to see different places and getting home late.
The water that I biked alongside yesterday in the south, was just like that! Clear to a stony floor but with weed!! I would have like to paddle in it! Well done for your 365!
Great shot - it's such a pretty place to visit. Did you have a swim? Congratulations on completing a year - hope your lovely photos are going to be shared with us for a bit longer yet!
Congratulations on your 365th!! Although I'm not posting at the moment, I'm still dipping in every now & then to see what you're all up to, & look forward to the next instalment…...
Lovely light and comp, and how wonderful to see such clear water in this age of pollution. Fav for me! Congrats on completing your first 365 year--hope your second year is great.
Many congratulations on finishing your 365 first year Nick. A big commitment when you have family, job & a life to lead with family. Have enjoyed your photos immensely & this one is so typically NZ.
