I had these beautiful flowers delivered from my favourite stepmum who happens to be called Carol (so apt for the Dec Words List although maybe not in the intended way!). Such a lovely surprise and much appreciated because, having a totally unromantic husband, I rarely receive flowers!
Got to post and run because I'm going to brave the roads and the shops and do a bit of last minute shopping.

A lovely gift. I hope you managed to survive the roads and shops. I braved our shopping centre yesterday, but luckily I got there early before it became really crowded. We live in a tourist area and I am going to hibernate now till after the new year.

@nickspicsnz The tourists have already arrived. Luckily our house is just outside the tourist area so our local beach doesn't get too busy, but we stay away from the really busy areas until February.
