Facade

The new Waikato Regional Theatre and Arts complex is being built in Hamilton. They're keeping the facade of the old Hamilton Hotel, which was a Category 2 Heritage listed building dating back to 1923. It was the third hotel on the site after the first two burned down. The Queen and Prince Phillip stayed there for a night in 1953 during their Coronation tour.

We sat at a cafe looking at this building a few month backand wondered what was going to happen with it.. Pleased they are keeping the facade.
