@huvesaker ....about -2.0 degree cool right now ;0) @steampowered ....you were right, thank you.....now furiously tweaking exposure in all today's shots!
@steampowered wow, thank you so much for taking the time to do that. (I am genuinely surprised how lovely and helpful everyone is on this site! restores your faith in humankind and all that!) :0)
@nicolaeastwood My pleasure. Are you going to give it a go? If you have Photoshop Elements then there is a slightly different route to get to the levels command and I can't remember what it is! Youtube or Google will be able to help.
@steampowered yes I have Aperture though, but have tweaked the exposure slider - it seems to work really well, have often fiddled with saturation and vibrance, but oddly (and I don't know why not exposure!) Probably a case of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing! :0)
@steampowered question if I may!!.......this was a top tip, thank you, and am now looking at other pictures, on some I have a bit of a double peak, do I go to the tallest, one, the first one or just what looks best?!
This makes me think of two people with the covering of snow! I must admit I always 'up' the Aperture slider for exposure (between 50-70 depending) and also the contrast and saturation to about 4. I sometimes warm up the image a bit as well but your colour seems spot on.
@nicolaeastwood Hi Nicola - I will talk you through it if you like. The histogram is an all important bit of digital photography. Once understood then it is never forgotten and can be so useful.
@nicolaeastwood Hi Nicola. I will see what I can put together for you because these histograms are all important and you will meet them all over the place. It might take me a couple of days though so don't hold your breath!
@nicolaeastwood Hi Nicola. It is quite simple but I need to make it understandable to other people! I might put my video making skills (such as they are) to the test and see what I come up with.

Now where have I heard that before... :)
