Beautiful Bark v2

I went back this morning to find the tree that I took on 13th with blue sky. I was so excited by the colour of the bark with the snow settled on the fork of the branches that I made a school-girl error and didn't check the background. (I could blame my daughter nagging me to get to the sledging slope quicker!) No doubt there is a simple editing technic to blur it all away!

Lovely texture, the colour is more subtle without the blue sky to set it off. If you hadn't mentioned the background, I don't think I would have noticed! You could always finish the job in Photoshop if it bothers you.

The bark is so dramatic in both colour and texture that the background would not have got a glance without your pointing it out!!!!

@oconnor71 Sorry Nic, didn't see this before.......I've googled it and can only guess at Chinese Red Birch, it's on a housing estate near us, but I do want one!!
