First I saw the flash of red February theme and I thought that it would indeed look stunning when you look at the whole month, so I thought I'd do that, then I spotted Feature-4-Feb and realised that some the words would perhaps both inspire and challenge me to try stuff I wouldn't normally do.......

So oddly (and if only to make my life more complicated than it already is!) I decided to combine the two themes!

There may occasionally be a bit of poetic license..... but I having been here a month I figure no one seems to mind that!

I'm quite pleased with my first Feb shot, and it was worth unpacking the Christmas lights on 1st Feb to achieve this!

Nicola, this shot is stunning... your focus on the heart is so beautifully clear, making the bokeh even softer and prettier - perfectly captured. And yes, you're right - artistic license is definitely permissible, as far as I'm concerned (for what that's worth). ;-)
