What a game it was! It had it all.... brilliant atmosphere, goals, hilarious bawdy songs and even a fight, when a hapless Chelsea fan sitting in the home supporters stand forgot himself and celebrated the Chelsea goal! The Chelsea fans over in the away section then drew attention to him by singing "you're on your own" until it all kicked off!!
Quite possibly one of the most exciting games of football I've ever watched!
Hubby rolled his eyes though when I said..."oh if I had an SLR I could capture those sun rays really well from here!" The carry-all compact didn't do a bad job though!
C'mon Southampton! at this rate it could there could be a second season in the Premiership! :0)
I'm sadly too American to have a clue what is going on. I feel like I'm really missing out because I've watched the Olympics and World Cup and everyone looks like they're having a fantastic time of it. I even got a Charlotte Panther scarf like the soccer scarves because I was jealous.
Oh Kathryn, don't be sad, you have NFL, and College Football!! "Soccer" is actually hideous! Brings out the worst parts of the British! Rugby is the thing to watch really!! 80 mins of full on contact sport (without the padding and helmets of NFL)......oh and some truly magnificent physical examples of the male of the species!! :0)
