Meet the Waterburys

I've got Little People!!

and things I learned today......shooting little people is hard! Not least because if you so much as breathe they all fall over!

The chap that mad a hoax call from the phone box made a run for it, the couple on the bench have had a row, and the phone-box looks like it was erected by the bloke responsible for the leaning tower of Pisa.

(Called the Waterburys, because they are made by Hornby, and Waterbury was the name of the family in the Railway Children!) Expect to see the Waterburys again soon!

Work has been crazy this week, so I'm going to have to catch up a couple of photos this weekend, and hopefully get up to speed with comments on all your fabulous photos too!
@huvesaker here's few of them! They're tricky little folk!

This is great, I see so much scope in the future for further tales... are these actually called little people in the shops?
April 6th, 2013
@emmadurnford they are sold in sets for model railways!! Emma Check out @bulldog he's the King of Little People. There are lots of Little People shots tagged on 365.

@nicolaeastwood I've just looked at @bulldog - so funny. I must give this a try but you have a good sense of humour with these so I need to find a good storyline. I did like your lion as well!

Very good

Fun, fun! Love it, it sounds like little people are a lot like big people.
April 7th, 2013
Great fun, is that you in front with the camera?

Ha ha ha, a great little story Nicola and your right, the are a bugger to stand up (I made the mistake of removing all the little clear bases as, just to make it harder).
I use a local toy shop and a (not so local) model railway shop. I have talked then both about my photos and I was surprised that they had not had more people asking?

PS. the tag you may want to use is 'little-people' this will allow the Waterburys to join all their friends. http://365project.org/tags/little-people

Great fun. If love to try stuff like this.

@boltonboy I'm sure the Waterburys must have some mountain climbing friends!!

@bulldog thanks - tag added, looking forward to more adventures. I spent a long time looking at your pictures to figure out how you didn't get the clear shiny bases in the photos!!

@richardcreese no, this chap looks much more proficient than me! :0)

@sansjuan @fullcircle @sparkle thank you

@emmadurnford Get some and join the fun!! :0)

April 7th, 2013
Brilliant - I love them - cannot wait to see what you come up with, such fun!
April 7th, 2013
Fun shot! From your description I think I will stay away from them though; too much work!
April 7th, 2013
@danielwsc ....says the man with the mad scientist rig!!
April 7th, 2013
@nicolaeastwood Touchee! But building the rig involved power tools ;)
April 7th, 2013
@danielwsc I see your point!! :0)

A wonderful microcosm of typical English life!

Great fun shot.... I use double sided tape with my little-people, but still tricky especially when standing on the edge of glasses! I did ask hubby if there was a temporary glue as he has a train set in the loft. He said there is but I haven't tried it. And NO I'm not nicking the little-people off his train set... well not yet but I do have my eyes on some lol :D
