For something as big as earth day, you'd have thought I'd have had a shot in mind.
Nothing.....just blankness.
So I scanned everyone elses' shots for some ideas, big recycling theme going on..... and took my camera outside. Sat down on the bench by the front door, waiting for inspiration.
Ah ha! the bench by the front door! The ultimate in recycling. Poor old, very large and dying ash tree had to come down several years ago.
One chainsaw + one ash tree = two garden benches.
The house faces East and first thing in the morning in the summer with a cuppa this is a lovely spot to sit.
Just realised how bad the window frames look.......!!!
I wanted something big and powerful as well for earth day but at least, as my mummy always says, it is the thought that counts so we did a good job. Nice bench by the way!
I thought about earth and couldn't find a more original shot than a flower bed (hence the duck!). Nice composition and excellent place to sit with a glass of rose.
Nicola - you have some great images in your project and lots of variety. I'm giving you a challenge that's on my bucket list, so I don't have any expertise, but I can't wait to see what you do with it and any tips you have for me when you're done: Tilt Shift Photography. Here's a link to get you started and inspired: http://365project.org/discuss/articles/15033/tilt-shift-photography
@kph129 wow - that's a challenge and a half. although I love tilt shift and it's on my bucket list too......I have NOOOO idea at all how to pull this off! Will give it my best shot though.......off to Google and explore instructions! Thank you for all the lovely comments and FAVs on my pictures. :0)
Ha! I know it's a tough one... I did do a quick google and saw some free software that'll do the effect, though I have no idea what is best. I know snapseed on my iphone will do it.
