Welcome home! by nicolaeastwood

Welcome home!

Arrived home from a week in Cornwall just before these chaps flew over our house.

I like to think that the pilot in the lead "Arrow" is waving, because he knows that I wave at them every year!!

Awesome awesome awesome - I WILL go to Farnborough Airshow in 2016!
Fabulous shot! See them while you can. I'm glad that you had a great time in Cornwall.

Great shot. I'm coming over to the UK in October and will be going to Cornwall. Can you recommend some good places to take scenic photos?

@steff Steff, which part are you going to? - most of it is scenic (will be posting last week's shots over the next few days), like all these things sometimes it's about knowing where to avoid! October can be beautiful too…… :0)

@nicolaeastwood I'm too sure yet. A friend has made the booking. I think we'll be staying in St Ives, but plan to use it as a base and travel out to places.

Well in that case check my shot for the 15th and promise me you'll go to Mousehole (pronounced Mowzel) eat in Fore Street restaurant, where they have water pistols to scare off the seagulls! You need to watch the seagulls they are, frankly, a nuisance and even stole hubby's ice-cream right out of his hand as he was about to take a bite as we sat on the harbour wall in the afternoon sunshine!

or actually, what am I saying….. eat at the Old Coastguard Hotel, but make a booking they get busy - check them out on line - fabulous food and a great view, no distance to walk from the village, and in fact right next to the best car park to use!
