I'm sure that Boo @huvesaker will correct me but I understand that in Scandinavian legend Tomtes are house elves that protect the house while the occupants are out tending the fields. I made this little fellow, a year or so ago who sits just inside the front door keeping us safe.

He is a wonderful tomte and i am sure he keeps you all safe. Remember to leave him some porridge for when it is really cold outside. They are busy little fellows but if you don't treat them well they will leave. I am so glad you posted him!
