I’m going for an urban landscape today. It is the first day of school after the summer holidays and I wanted to include this photo of the girls in my project. This year they will be in year 10 and year 8. On a side note, Sophie turns 15 in three weeks and is 6’1 tall. I don’t think she will ever stop growing.
The girls have a love hate relationship and Sophie very rarely shows Paige any kind of affection. This morning when I said I wanted a photo she actually put her arm around her and hugged her. The look on Paige’s face says it all.
I’m going to have a relatively quite day. I have taken my parents dog for a run (we are currently virtually running up Mount Fuji) and I have taken Buster for a walk. I’m going to read my book, make an orange cake and if I feel like it I might clean the bathrooms.
Wow- like your comment on Leigh, your two sure have grown up as well! Those early teenage years can sure be a roller coaster. At some point though you start to realize your siblings will outlast most of your friends and you grow closer. In the meantime, you'll enjoy catching these moments on camera! Good catch- especially since it was so rare!
I love this! I was the tallest girl in my school in junior high. I hated it at the time but I was glad to be tall starting in high school. Sophie will have some great sports opportunities because of her height. I hope she embraces her height!
@onewing@linnypinny@olivetreeann@mrslaloggie@louannwarren@peadar@rumpelstiltskin thank you for your kind words and well wishes. My priorities changed yesterday. The bathroom cleaning happened before the book reading. I also made a batch of orange and cranberry scones and two orange cakes. I had lots of oranges that needed using.
You seem to have your priorities right, read book first, make cake second and if you have time clean the bathrooms. Well done.
Did you say orange cake?!! I'm on my way - put the coffee on!
