'This tree,raised from an acorn,
brought from Verdun, France, during World War 1,
Was planted by Alderman Henry Gosling, M.A. 1921.'
I Love the fact that this acorn has grown into such a wonderful tree and has traveled so far to do so and can just imagine it traveling in the soldier's uniform pocket
