The House Next Door

This is not what I set out to shoot tonight, but I'm still not satisfied with the church shots and as I was heading down the street for home, this view of the house next door hidden behind the trees kind of intrigued me... our neighbourhood is very pleasant - not in the least bit eerie, but between the dark, the trees and the shadows on this house (created by lighting from below and an odd-ish architectural feature), this scene felt almost creepy!

creepy :) is that a hand held shot or are you using a tripod? if it's hand held you might have better luck with a tripod and you could have a really slow shutter speed to bring in more light.

@kcwebbah @peterdegraaff thank you so much for your kind comments! i was using a tripod and playing around with shutter speed, but it started to rain so i didn't get the range of exposures i was hoping for... i actually had to lighten this shot considerably...
