Pillitteri is an estate winery in the Niagara region of Ontario, and their icewine is divine! They make both red and white icewine - personally, I love their red icewine the best, but this is a bottle of white icewine because this shot was taken for the tag challenge. My tags were "white" and "vintage". I am not sure whether icewine actually has "vintages", but I've found stuff in Wikipedia referencing vintage in the context of icewine, so I'm going with it. Incidentally, icewine goes very very very well with dark chocolate.
@jenirainbow Jeni - seriously??? i'm pretty sure it's made in places other than Canada, so i had assumed it had become well known... it is a dessert wine... it's quite sweet, but not at all like sherry or port... it is made from grapes that are picked just after they have frozen on the vine... you can get these tiny thimble-sized dark chocolate cups... you pour in the icewine, drink, and then eat the chocolate... scrumptious!!!!
@shutterbugger yep - it's a rose... same one i used for the shot a few days ago... yeah, icewine is pretty pricey - but a little goes a long way and it makes a great gift :)

I've only tasted icewine once and it was gooooood! Too expensive for me though.
