I'm not entirely happy with the focus on this, but it's a sign of spring and one does not sneeze at signs of spring! I have decided that a proper macro lens is in my very near future!
Ohhh to have a macro lens:). I don't have the right kind of camera for one, but maybe someday. This is a really great shot. I love how close up it is. Hello bud, indeed!
you can really improve your macro ability without investing a great deal of money, but if you plan on doing macro a LOT, then I'd recommend investing the money... otherwise, just look on amazon.com for a macro filter you can screw on to the end of your regular lens.
@jsw0109 Hi Jeff... i do have extension tubes (altho' i didn't use them for this shot)... they work quite well, but they are a bit unwieldly and not as sharp as i would like... so... yeah... think i might as well just bite the bullet sooner rather than later :)
Ahhh the green stuff. It's on its way my friend. Nice find. I think for now I am just going back to my old point and shoot for macro (not super macro) but seems to do better than my kit lense. One day we will all have the lenses we want!
This encapsulates such a feeling of spring and new growth! I think the focus works well, and I really like the contrast of the green against the brown.
