Thank you everyone for all the views and comments on the loony goose shot I posted yesterday... I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did...
Today was cold and dreary, plus back to work after the long weekend AND I seem to have acquired a cold... so pulling from yesterday's shots...
I so rarely do landscapes... I am not entirely thrilled with this... not sure if it is just kinda meh, or whether I've spent too much time looking at the real thing for anything to compare, or whether I just feel sucky so nothing will seem right... but there it is... I can easily go back there, so if you have any suggestions or tips for improving this image, or for landscape photos in general, I'd be happy to hear them!
The way the tree trunk divides the photo give it great interest and dynamism.
Movement of the water to the left contrasting with the static rocks and foliage to the right.
Try more landscapes - electrons on memory cards are free and can be re-arranged later!
tx for the encouragement on this :) there are actually lots of leaning trees around... not sure if we have an overabundance here for some reason, or if i just notice them for some reason! i actually took dozens of landscape shots on monday... for every pov i tried i also tried several different apertures... i think overall this was a good exercise because i learned a lot!
