Ooops! by northy

Ooops!

This little guy was tiny (less than a centimetre long) and I am sad that I could not get a sharp focus on him...
Fabulous macro. You should enter that in the "Tiny Things" theme, northy.

@cromwell tx Cromwell... i did tag it for the theme... really wish i was able to get a clearer shot, tho'... this little guy was so transluscent, i had a hard time getting a bead on anything!

Tx for the lovely comments :)

Lidac - this guy was tiny - zero "ewwwww" factor, I promise!

Sharon - tx so much for the fav :)

Jase - how would you have composed it? Always interested to hear different things to try for future reference :)

@northy I don't really like things in the middle / centre of a photo, so would have gone bottom right hand corner (I'm very OCD with this sort of stuff)
April 22nd, 2012
I think you did a great job! I couldn't have done half as well.
April 22nd, 2012
Well spotted and captured, I reckon

I'm surprised you managed to get any focus. He looks weeny! xx
April 22nd, 2012
@38mm tx Jase... this is helpful feedback... i was trying to crop using rule of thirds and aiming to get his head in the bottom right hand cross-hairs (altho' in looking at it again, i don't think i succeeded)... i take it you would put the head right into the bottom right hand square?
April 22nd, 2012
@northy Yep. Sometimes with the rule of thirds think also about the nine rectangles it creates and not just where the lines intersect. So in this case the leaf and critter would have filled that space, and the rest a sort of negative space thing. If that makes sense, soz a bit rubbish with words!!!
