Took a jaunt on down to the financial district... this was taken across the street from Union Station which is currently a nightmare construction zone... That would be me crouched down at the back of the shot trying hard not to burn my knees... the pavement was steaming! Thanks so much Jani for the suggestion regarding the crop!
Thanks so much for the lovely comments on my hydrant, and my "room with a view" photo... indeed, I much preferred the crop I ended up posting to 365...
Long sleeves on these guys? Too hot for that! Great reflection! Steaming pavement requires knee pads. I'm actually buying some because I'm taking so many bug shots lately! :)
my favorite part of this is that you caught your reflection in it! at first I thought it was another photographer:) you are a master of these street shots!
Great capture....I was down there in May, couldn't find anything anymore. Dad used to work down there when it was the main CP station and there was a roundhouse, etc. Before Agincourt became the freight yard.
@russianblue the sun was actually pretty deadly... for the 40 minutes i was out and about at lunch time *I* should have been wearing long sleeves!
@dishaparekh176 tx so much Disha... trust me - no one would ever liken me to a princess in real life ;p maybe the guys stylishness was rubbing off on me?
Great selfie and I just love the reflection. He looks like he had a great day and was proud of whatever he was doing that day. like the b&w too, it wouldn't have been the same in color. congrats on the PP, well deserved.
An interesting triplex.

@paulaag tx Paula... this was what i had in mind for the SPN-8 challenge since the "on your knees please..." seemed to bring the photog into it...
@lynnb tx Lynn... it's pure insanity right now... to be avoided at all costs!
