I'm finding that the subway stations have such interesting lighting :)
Thank you all so VERY much in all the nice comments and favs on my "scramble" images... there was actually a brief moment when all 3 were on the pp at the same time!
Maybe they should rename pp 'Northy's other page'. I love, love, love the movement in this. I am going to click favourite, and I don't do that often. I'm too picky, really...
@beeblebear ha ha ha! NO! it's still quite a rarity for even one to be up on pp... and truthfully, i'm quite surprised any of them made it as they had only a very few favs at the time...
@northy I have no idea how PP works. I'm on there again, with only 4 favs. I've been on there at least once a month since I started, I think someone must like me :)
Great perspective! I wonder why the movement only shows up in the foremost part of the train - I'm sure there's a scientific explanation, probably to do with relativity, but it's over my head.
Yes, I agree about the subtle lighting that subway stations provide. Wonderful shot, northy. I wish they had subways down here. There's always such interesting characters mulling around in them.
@vase hey Carla... it's not just the shutterspeed! i had the ISO quite high and the f stop quite low (or the aperture quite wide - never sure how to explain that)... i actually generally use aperture mode and let the shutterspeed get set automatically... i've done a number of subway shots with motion blur and each ended up with a different shutterspeed... experiment and have fun!
@newbie it's actually starting to feel a bit embarrassing... i kind of want to crawl under my desk right now... thank you for all your lovely comments and i hope the move went well!
