You're making a big deal out of nothing - SOOC ya'll!
It prolly is NOT a good idea to try too many different things at once ;p so... uhm... ya...
this is SOOC... this is a hip shot... and the in-camera processing was to shoot monochrome with a sepia toner having boosted the contrast by 4 and the sharpness by 2... for the camera settings challenge donchaknow ;p
I think this photo doesn't quite work, not because of the tilt, but because unless you live around here, you prolly don't get that she's standing on the bench in a bus shelter poring over a map of the area ;p
Thank you for all the lovely comments and favs on my train shot :)
well, i think it's a pretty good shot northy! i wouldn't have known what she was doing had you not explained, but it makes perfect sense now. I like the tones. I knew that my camera would do b&w, but didn't know it would do sepia tones.
hey, i downloaded a trial of Nik Silver Effex. It's great, but wow, lots to learn with it!
We do that sort of thing sometimes! Given the notice in the shelter i can see why you tried to do something different. Usually I am unable to predict if it will work, so i just do it in hope! I think it would have worked better without the tilt so you just focus on her standing on the bench reading the chart - and it would have been quite an amusing shot. Or maybe you could have tilted a full 90 degrees!
@yrhenwr y'well... It was a hip shot... Which I was kinda messing around with yesterday... I do have another one that is slightly better framed... But she wasn't "posed" as well... This one best caught the essence of what I saw :).
great dutch angle, works pretty well here. love the monotone, too. i like how ever slightly her finger is on the surface as if all's going to change if she push it a bit more. wonderful!
