Vineyards by northy

Vineyards

Taken last weekend in Niagara-on-the-Lake (prime wine country) and processed today... the landscape was just amazing... bear in mind i live in the big city and rarely get to see farmland - nevermind the romanticized farmland of vineyards ;p

but dang - I wish I'd had more time... we were on a schedule last week and we couldn't stop for photography... the light was crappy and most of my landscape shots were drive bys at high ISO (this is ISO 800 - and i did a ton of cropping... but there was SO MUCH to see... i really really want to go back :)

A shot from a wine tasting event at Colonari's in my other album:

Wonderful country shot! My hubby & I hope to return to Niagara-on-the-Lake someday. It's a town with character!

Looks like a Middle Eastern vineyard-very dry! Great shot, I guess they just harvested? Must've been great to get out into the country

Looks lovely. Actually not all that far from me in North Central New Jersey. I'll take a look next time I am in the Buffalo area.

go back then, and take me with you. i know what you mean. whenever partner and i go around, i wish i'm the one driving, too, then i can stop whenever i want to. in the spring when there's no more threat of snow and ice, that's what i plan to do. while i cannot drive and shoot like some people are quite great at doing, i would spend the car's brakes by stopping at all possible chance. :-)

@summerfield actually, when it's just me and my husband, he's gotten pretty good at spying vantage points and pulling over for me... harder with the kiddoes in tow when we're on a schedule...

Cool repetition. Would be nice to see in other seasons too - you'll definitely have to go back!

This photo brings to me a touch of sadness--winter is obviously on the way. A moment in time well captured.
