Yonge Dundas Square was a mega infomercial for Mobilicity today...
Sorry for having been barely around... on top of all the mega pre-Christmas craziness, colds and hockey, i am finding myself in a major funk... Still have to get to my get-pushed photo for this week... i have some ideas, just no time or energy... off to write up my Christmas cards (yes, i KNOW how late i am at getting to this) and then to bed with the hopes that tomorrow will be a better day... tx for sticking around...
We've all been there, hang in there, nothing bad happens if you dont post or comment for a day or two. It comes back. Merry Christmas, see you around :)
Watch a fantastic smile-inducing shot, northy. Normally I would think this one cries out to be in color, but I think the b&w really works well in this case.
Awe - Love how young ones have a willingness to share - then something horrible happens in their teen years and they forget the importance of sharing (he he). Wonderful moment captured forever :)
What an awesome shot. I don't know what these guys are, but they look really cool in b&w. Don't feel bad about the photo funk. My project is really sucking for me this month....being sick and busy can really drag you down!
What can is say but cute. A casual challenge. Can we have more street candids in color? I know the problems with disturbing backgrounds, but i still want to see color.
@cromwell this one doesn't work in colour because the little girl gets lost... those things are neon green and watermelon pink... plus i had to do some brightening to get her to show up more and i know how to do that in nik silver efex, but not so much in lightroom or pse ;p
@frankhymus i hear ya... i find it really depends on the shot, tho'... here when the light is bad and the day is grey, the city ends up being a mishmash of dreary colours and the focal point of the image is easily lost... in good light and with vivid colour, or even in bad light with non-clashing colours it can definitely work just fine...
The craziness is happening to us all I think. I fear I'll never get back on track!!. However, you should not give up. You're so good at these street shots. They seem to come naturally to you xx
