I don't 100% like this, but there's something about it i can't let go of... so this is my last shot for flash-o-red february and i have to say, i have enjoyed this challenge immensely! thank you to @olivetreeann for setting it up:
thank you so much for stopping by and commenting... i am afraid i am very behind in commenting back, but will be working on catching up over the weekend...
LOVE the urban look.. the intentional overexposure, and wow–the way you used that directional diagonal lines to frame the silhouettes is a fave for me.
the composition and the geometry are very pleasing to me. Very much my kind of shot.... I'm wondering how this would look as wider... crop a slice off the top and add a chunk of blackness to the left side--> persons in the dead center of the image... ?
I like it. Strong graphic shapes framing the silhouetted people. I wouldn't change anything, but then again I wouldn't have the eye to see the shot in the first place.
Wonderful lines and I like the people....sort of reminds me of that scene from whatever movie when the 3 or 4 guys are walking towards you (I am horrible with movie names, so that's as good a description as you get...had something to do with flying or space).
You have a knack with contrast that I've tried and failed with. The characters although silhouetted are still so clear and the shaft of bright light is like an arrowhead. Very effective and very you in style xx
@lynnb armageddon perhaps? with bruce willis? the main thing i remember about that particular video comp is that they walked in same formation getting on the ship as when they got off, but there were gaps when they got off because not all came back...
@jase_h@janim ok - i tried it and liked it only i don't think i got the crop quite what you were suggesting or at any rate, i cut something off that i think should stay in and now want another go before reposting :)
Well, it's a good composition, the eye has no doubt about which way to go. Mine likes a good solid black too! I'd prefer to see the detail top right extend so there's not so much burn out.
