driven to abstraction

this would be the Scarborough RT (rapid transit) train... it needs a human element... sadly, no one felt like cooperating today... ;p

thank you for your patience as i turn over every stone in search of my phojo...
The light is very cool. It took my eyes a while to figure out the movement. I like it.

Also phojo, I like phojo.

You may be right but I think it speaks for itself. I like it!

So bizarre. I'm not alone. This is the first week that I've gotten more than two days behind in posting... I took pictures, but I'm just not in the groove.

FWIW, while you may not have gotten what you waned to get, you got a cool thing here.

Great pov

This is quite an amazing shot. Seems like you are being a little hard on yourself. I would love to create images like you have done with this one!!

The distinct contrast and movement has terrific impact. Hope the tide of your phojo rolls back in soon.

I like it without the human element, but agree with Jodi 365 is not worth knackering yourself over :)

You may be right, but I like the fact that you can see through the train. You must have got the shutter speed spot on.

Stunning capture! Lovely movement in this shot!

Love the hight contrast - great photo

The High Contrast is great. But yes, rather empty feeling. Nicely done.

Great composition and lines. To be honest, I love the absence of human beings....i think the human presence is implicit in the train, in the station, everywhere. Some great photographers of cities and industrial estate voluntarily omitted to include humans in their shots (Have you ever seen a picture by Gabriele Basilico, a great narrator of urban spaces?)

Love the movement. Foolish people not bowing to your whims!
June 7th, 2013
Your caption made me have a little giggle... Leave no stone unturned! ;)
June 7th, 2013
Love the motion. Some days people just won't cooperate. :)

I can't believe you think you have missing phojo! At least you get out and about and shoot interesting. I've ended up with garden for ages now and it's starting to bore me so no wonder what it's doing to all you lot! xx

great effect. Love the high contrast with the motion.
June 8th, 2013
awesome lines and tones
June 8th, 2013
How'd you find the only moment when no one was on the RT? Cool movement though.
June 9th, 2013
Gret linear elements and strong movement - very cool

Nice motion shot and great reflections. I like the emptiness.
