i really struggled with this one... and looking at some of the other submissions for the theme, seems i've taken a completely different approach from what's been posted so far... which i am absolutely ok with - just makes me wonder yet again whether i am part-vulcan or something ;p
i went kinda batshit crazy on editing here...
overexposed in camera and actually had to drag the sliders back from oblivion in LR... not really happy that my left hand is blown out (LR says it isn't - it LIES)... declarified muchly as well...
then to topaz restyle... used a preset called "ice princess" (which is where i got the inspiration for this shot in the first place)...
then to PSE to try to fix something (it didn't work)... and THEN to colour fx where i added some glamour glow and vignette blur...
(all of which is to say that any resemblance to a person or alien living or dead is only incidental at this point ;p)
Perfect. Although I see your lips I wouldn't have studied them as much if you didn't point them out. My eyes however are drawn back to your hands and the true 'heart' of the photo. Pun intended, lol.
You are too funny... Great concept and I say it works very well sending your message. I like how you post your struggles (which is a necessary evil for all of us) with post-processing.
Well done for participating. I keep wanting to but find that selfies take up a lot more time (certainly trying to get something decent in the edit for me anyway!) I like the paleness and the glow xx
It would be an uninteresting bunch of photo's if everyone took the same approach to the theme. I love that everyone looks at the words in a different way. I look at your lips in this and it makes me think you have a secret.
by the time I finished reading your comment I was in stitches so had to go back up :) the colour of the lips bothers me too but other than that it's so cool. I bought the topaz stuff but it does not speak to any of my programmes, might need to install sth else, all your wanderings betweent shots are making me dizzy :) where do you find time? I sort of sorted my Raw issues with PS, but only sometimes, still need to learn to use it and that on top of the new camera is hard...
