one of the fascinating things i found about the area around Yellowknife is these lonely houses in the middle of nowhere that appeared perched on rocks and marshlands (if that's what they are)... i also really liked the spindly looking trees... not sure what was going on with the sky in this one... the cloud cover changed a lot so might have been one of the times when the sky really was pretty much all white...
The muted blue of the water sets off the yellow tones of the pines nicely. I wonder if the white sky appearance is due to moving cloud for the long exposure? None the less, I think it works here as it adds three distinct layers and draws your eye where it should go, to the house. Really enjoyable, in a nice, mellow way.
