totally devoid of inspiration, i decided to try the camera setting challenge of manual focus and magnification... very helpful for macro... i'd never actually tried that before, so this was a good exercise for me...
tx for the lovely comments on my mask and pumpkin... i'm feeling like i need to get out and about more, but work is burying me at the mo' and i'm not sure how things will go this week...
about time the wallis crew re-group go on a shooting spree once again. that tack looks harmless, until you find it in the sole of your foot walking barefoot at the office when you're too busy to care about shoes! then bam! :-)
So delicate. The only tiny suggestion I could make was, if you were going for that "tack sharp" you mention in your tags, could you have somehow have lit the point of the tack? Either "for real" or in processing?
@kaesebiscuit you have a point (get it? point?? see what i did there?? ;p)... i did think it was sorta lit... prolly could have done a bit better... i was struggling to get the post in focus more than anything else and maybe was a bit lazy on the other bits... tx for the reminder that others are watching... it really does help
Live view manual focussing is the only way to go for studio work. :)
