tripping the light fantastic

i can't recall who i am supposed to blame for this... but back when i was struggling with lighting fog someone suggested shining light thru a colander or sieve... lacking for time today or inspiration tonight, i decided to give it a go (minus the fog)... apparently the result is somewhat manic ;p
nice effect northy

Hi, thanks again for my get pushed challenge!

Now here's yours:
First of all, I've looked through all of your photos since February or so. They're great!
I'd like you to do something I haven't seen on your account yet:
Take a people-less selfie!
You do this by finding 25,30,50 or so (you can limit the number yourself, but more than 20 please!) things that have to do with you (e.g. photos, cds, books, food or clothes you like, concert tickets or so) and do a collage with them.
Here's an example by Kandis, a really cool 365er: http://365project.org/kandis/365/2013-11-14
Is that challenge OK?
Looking forward to your result!

Your photography inspires me to use this winter to experiment with lighting - this is gorgeous.
November 20th, 2013
I saw a picture with a similar ookeh a few days ago and wondered how to achieve this. Now I know and will have to try ! Great result here with an attractive compo.
November 20th, 2013
Beautiful light, love the bokeh.
November 20th, 2013
Makes for some very intense bokeh. Great idea which I'm likely to steal at some point ;o) xx

mag
nice Bokeh, the angle of the background makes it..
November 20th, 2013
@justaspark 50 things, hmmm? i'm pretty sure there aren't 50 things about me... maybe not even 20 things (i've been counting all day and i'm up to 16 ;p)... but i'll give it a go... should be fun! btw, not really a collage, is it? collage would be several pictures smushed together in photoshop... i think you just mean put all objects together for a still life kind of shot?

Wonderful result of experimentation, who on earth would suggest such a bizarre thing! ;-)
November 21st, 2013
Ah, makes perfect sense to use the colander or a sieve--will have to experiment with that idea sometime! The winter days approach, and I'm getting cooooood. Indoor fun ideas needed!
November 21st, 2013
@quixoticneophyte yeah - i thought it was you - but couldn't remember for sure and didn't have much energy to search back for the reference... and it's a flipping' cheese grater, btw, not a sieve... why on earth i got this wrong i do not know...
November 21st, 2013
Yup that's what I mean! :) Try to find 4 more and do 20 or so.. I'm sure you will be having an idea!
November 21st, 2013
@northy Well, you know I'm going to have to try it out now! It's a fabulous result.
